On Thursday 22nd June a team of 17 children from Years 3,4,5 and 6 took part in the Strode Swimming Gala. The children competed in a variety of races including the 'medley relay' where they had to complete a length of front crawl, butterfly, breast stroke and back stroke. All the children tried their absolute best and for some it was the first time they had swam a whole length! The competition was very tight and the result hinged on the final race. We returned to school as the winners of the 'Large Schools Competition' and are all very proud of being able to return the trophy to our school once again.
